Western Field Ornithologists is soliciting papers for presentation at its 38th annual conference, to be held jointly with the Washington Ornithological Society, in Olympia, Washington, August 22-25, 2013.
Papers should reflect original research or summarize existing unpublished information about birds in western North America and should be presented in a manner that is of interest to serious amateur and professional field ornithologists alike. Each presentation will be allotted fifteen minutes, including three minutes for questions from and discussion with the audience, a hallmark of WFO meetings.
Review the call for papers here. Note the range of topics and the geographic area appropriate for the meeting, as well as the format to follow when submitting an abstract. June 12, 2013 is the deadline for receipt of abstracts.
See the website for preliminary information about the conference. General registration will open in early May. Current members of WFO, as well as members of the Washington Ornithological Society and of Black Hills Audubon Society, will be able to register in advance of the general public.
