Grassland bird workshop to be held in Sierra Vista, Arizona

by Jennie Duberstein / Monday, 07 February 2011 / Published in Meetings and Events, News

Join the Sonoran Joint Venture and partners in Sierra Vista, Arizona for a workshop on Grassland Birds of southern Arizona and northern Sonora. The meeting will be held on 23-24 February 2011 at the Sierra Suites Hotel. An optional field trip will be offered to the Audubon Appleton-Whittell Research Ranch on 25 February 2011 depending on interest.

There are many groups working on grasslands and grassland birds in this region and the workshop will provide a forum for sharing information about monitoring, research, and conservation projects. We hope that this will lead to a discussion about coordinating effort in the grasslands of the SJV region.

Contact Carol Beardmore for more information.
