A pesar de ello, las necesidades b\u00e1sicas de h\u00e1bitat para esta especie se desconocen en gran medida. Algunas de las concentraciones m\u00e1s grandes de cuclillo de pico amarillo suceden en los l\u00edmites del Sonoran Joint Venture, incluyendo a lo largo de los r\u00edos Salt y San Pedro. Actualmente contamos con financiamiento del Proyecto Salt River para realizar monitoreos de cuclillo durante la temporada de reproducci\u00f3n del 2003. Las \u00e1reas a monitorear se ubican en Salt River, incluyendo alrededor del Lago Roosevelt y el bajo R\u00edo San Pedro. Proponemos ampliar este trabajo al utilizar radio-telemetr\u00eda para rastrear cuclillo de pico amarillo individuales a fin de determinar mejor las necesidades de h\u00e1bitat de reproducci\u00f3n y alimentaci\u00f3n.
